How to visit this waterfall?
By car from Tokyo it takes about 4 hours to reach this waterfall. There is a 5 minutes walking through forest pathway from the parking. The nearest station is Yaita Station. From the station it takes about 35 minutes by Taxi.
From Tokyo to Yaita Station it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes by train. By train it is between 5000 yen and 6000 yen one way. Due its remote location, it is recommended to go this place by car.

There is no entry fee to see this waterfall. The spot is always open but the only ideal time to visit the place is during day time.

When to visit Oshiraji Falls?
You can come to see this spot anytime of the year. However wet season is recommended if you want to see the waterfall flowing down to its basin. Wet season starts from April and ends in October. Probably last half of the September is one of the best time to go to this spot to enjoy its superb view.

If possible visit this place by Car since the waterfall is in a remote location. Check for rain warning before going to this place. It is possible to go there on a good day without rain when you can enjoy the waterfall in its full beauty.
The access to the waterfall is bit slippery therefore please watch out your steps when walking. Phone network on this area is not stable.
