Located near Nikko in Tochigi prefecture, Ryuzu Falls is a beautiful place to go in Japan. Unlike other waterfall, this 210 meters long beautiful waterfall has two cascades from where the water fall to the basin below. It started from Yugawa River and flows through Lake Yunoko and Lake Chuzenji. This twin falls were developed from the Mount Nantai eruption.
In the Summer and Spring the maple and linen trees are green around the falls. In the Autumn season the trees become changes to beautiful Autumn color which makes this falls more beautiful. How to visit this waterfall?
By car from Tokyo it takes about 4 hours to reach the waterfall. By train and then bus it takes about 3 and half hours. If you use train and bus it is between 5000 yen ~ 7000 yen one way.

When to visit Ryuzu Falls?
September and October is the peak season to visit this beautiful little twin falls. Perhaps visit the place between October 18th and October 24th to enjoy the stunning view of the waterfall. Around this time the maple and linen trees leaves blooms into full red and yellow color. You will be able to enjoy the scenic view of the falls and the Autumn color altogether at the same time.
