This marvelous example of nature is the result of rugged wind and strong waves from the Genkai Sea hitting against the cliff and deteriorated them away for millions of years.

How to visit this cave?

By car or taxi from Karatsu station it takes about 30 minutes to reach the spot. By bus it takes between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes depending on which bus you will use. From Nanatsugama enterance there is a 20 minutes walking to reach the spot.

If you use bus, it is between 760 yen and 980 yen one way. Leisure boat departs from Yobuko port every single hour and it is a 40 minutes cruise.

Nanatsugama Caves – Entry Fees and Address

There is no admission fee to enjoy the Caves if you go to this place via bus, car or taxi and explore the area by foot. Nantsugama parking lot is free as well. If you use leisure boat it is 1,800 for adult and 750 yen for children. Leisure boat operates between 9:30 and 16:30 all around the year except stormy weather times.
